1.I f the lines 4x-3y+5=0 and kx+9y-4=0 are perpendicular to each other
, find k.

Ans:

Since they are perpendicular

So, 4/9=-3/k ==> k=-4/3//

2.If the line x-2y+2=0 is parallel to the line ax+y-4=0, find a.

Ans:

1/a=-2/1
a=-1/2//

3.If the three points A(1,1) , B(x,5) and C(6,13) lie on the same straight line , find x.

(13-5)/(6-1)=(5-1)/(x-1)
x=7/2//

1. As two lines perpendicular
m1 x m2= -1
4/3xm2=-1
m2 =-4/3
-9/x =-4/3
x=27/4
2. the same as the above person

3. slope AC= slopeAB

13-1/6-1=5-1/x-1

x=32/12
