do you lock your doors at night?

We use to never lock our doors mainly cus we've known the neighbors since forever and we get along great. We protect each other and all that good stuff. We had 2 pit bulls a male and a female they were mean to everyone it didn't matter who it was except for me. BUT slowly my dogs became sick and they died from one day to the next and after that we got robbed during the night.
A few nights later we were about to get robbed again. I was out partying and instead of going to another party I felt something wasn't right so I ended up leaving early. As I entered my yard I saw 3 men near my parents window and they ran of course. It was the scariest feeling ever. Just imagine if I had not shown up at the time? They would of done something to my parents you know. Of course the cops didn't do a damn thing and this was the 2nd time we've called them and I was very upset. So I told the cops that next time we call them they will be collecting bodies cus we have all kinds of shotguns in the house and Im pretty good at shooting them and mainly cus it's BS. NOW we lock up everything even our own underwear cus we fear of anything ever happening again.

Just be careful! If you ever experience that which GOD forbid u don't believe me you'll look at things very differently.

LOCK YOUR DOORS AT ALL TIMES WHEN YOU HAVE TO!

Here is a little story about something that happend during my childhood.


We never locked the doors when I was a kid - oh no, not a lot of crime happened in the 1970's
I had gone to sleep, and my mom needed to make herself something to eat (She had been working late and didn't get any dinner or luch or hardly a good breakfast)

But... We had no milk, since we would have needed it in the morning she decided to go get some at the corner store, leaving me alone (My dad had been at work) with only a large dog, my younger sister, and my older brother. My mom had left, not locking the door, and in a matter of minutes I had herd something outside. I was crying because i knew someone was out there, going into my mothers room, and seeing she wasen't there made me so scared.

\i had thought she had been tooken away!!

I cried grabed my puppy in one hand, my little sister in the other and went to get my brother, we went to the basement and into the celler, but before I closed the door my puppy ran away, and i hadn't the time to get him, I wanted to but my brother would't let me go get my baby :( in the celler where, a phone was, we called our mother, and then the police.

The man tried the back door, which was locked, then the front which he pulled open with ease.

He vandalised everything. Stole a few things and left withought a trace.

:( So you see, it is never a good idea to keep your doorsunlocked!!

And you now what else? He stole Ashes My BABY! :( I love you Ash :'(

I do keep my doors locked every night.

I make sure, and I have a big alarm that rings at 8:00 to remind me to lock my doors if i havent!!!!!

I love the fact that you have a GSD.

I live in a small Arizona town with a large SNOWBIRD population.
We still lock our doors at night even with 1 each Pit Bull, Pit Bull - Beagle cross, Am-Staff and German Shepherd. I have had squatters try to take up residence in our storage sheds after we bring the dogs in at night. They had the opportunity to meet the Pit, German Shepherd and Dr Colt. (M1911) and preferred meeting Sheriff Joe's deputies to hanging out in my shed. Too bad, the boys needed new chew toys!

I work 4 nights each week... Darn STRAIGHT, the doors stay locked!

I lock my house doors all the time, not just at night. I live in the city.

Yes, we do lock our doors. We live in a very small town with hardly any crime, but there are some nut-jobs out there. We have 4 dogs who would raise he11 (and 3 guns) so I think we would be alerted if anyone tried to break in while we were home. Plus we have two sets of retired neighbors who are extremely nosy and are home all the time. They would call the police if anything happened while we were at work.

Damn I wish I was in your family cause where I live you have to lock the doors if you don't wanna get robbed and get your a** kicked at the same time. But it would be nice to know what it's like to have that kind of freedom

Now that I live in an apartment I wouldn't go to sleep without locking my doors. However i grew up in the country and we never ever locked the doors...the enitre time I was growing up I didn't have a house key to my own house! ;-)~

All of the doors except for the back door are locked at all times. The back door is usually locked at night but sometimes I come home at midnight and forget to lock it. We live in the country so I'm not too concerned with burglary. If you are going to break into my house check the back door.
