關於gst (goods and sevice tax)

If government imposes goods and servics taxes, it would lower inflation. It is because the taxes would increase the production cost on suppliers and consumption expenditure on people, and the sharing burden depends on the elasticity of demand. The more elastic the demand, the higher tax burden shared by suppliers. Therefore, producers would produce less and consumers would buy less, too, hence dampening inflation pressure.
