So far every hardcopy and online dictionary I have come across is geared towards Japanese, not towards native English speakers. Meaning that the explanations are in Japanese--but what do you do if you can't read it? I never heard of jisho.org until it was pointed out here. You can tell it's made for non-native Japanese speakers because it does give the kanji and how to read it so I would recommend that. Personally I tend to use http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp and http://www.alc.co.jp. These are Japanese sites so again geared towards Japanese but they each have their uses for me.
