I have been low on cash lately, and I am running out of ideas for cheep and good dinners. What would you reccomend that you make.

I have made alot of Polish Sausage and Cabbage and Hambugers, Hot dogs, Beans and Cornbread, and My husband hates Ramen Noodles.

*****************TUNA TETRAZZINI
8-12 oz. pkg. broad noodles
3/4 cube butter
1 lg. onion, finely chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can evaporated milk
2 sm. or 1 lg. can tuna, drained
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 sm. can black olives, either chopped or pitted
2 1/2 oz. sliced mushrooms
Cook noodles in boiling water, do not cook until done, just until they are soft, about 7 minutes. Drain, but do not run under water. Sauté the onion until glazed in the butter. Add the soup and evaporated milk, stir up.
Then add the cheese, stir again. Put in the mushrooms. Break up the tuna into bite-size pieces and fold that into the rest of the ingredients, and warm everything up. Add the olives, noodles, and mix gently. Pop into a 1 1/2 or 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake for 1 hour in a 375 degree oven. Do not cover.

you can get chicken drumsticks pretty cheap, or even a whole chicken and then there will be leftogvers for another night. a shepards pie can be pretty cheap, hamburg and potatos, frozen veggies. pasta is really cheap, so are canned tomatos, so spagetti or zita with pasta sauce would be good too

Rice are very expensive nowadays, so I won't recommend that.

Why not try stuffed peppers (bake/roast) ? Buy the coloured peppers (yellow, red, green), minced meat and tomatoes. I think it goes well with couscous or risotto...

I don't have the method but I remembered "randomly" cooking my dinner as there was nothing in my kitichen!

Meatloaf is delicious hot with mashed potatoes and gravy, then leftover for another meal in a sandwich with soup. Chicken; whole roasted, then leftover for soup or salad. Spaghetti with a jarred marinara sauce, leftover sauce on a pizza shell or french bread with cheese for another meal. Bacon, lettuce & tomato sandwiches or fried egg sandwiches or open faced grilled ham & cheese?

Make a BIG pot of what I call "Cheater Chili". Get the Old El Paso Chili seasoning mix, (where the taco seasoning packets are) the recipe is on the back of the packet, just some ground beef or turkey, salsa and if you like you can add some beans. A bag of tortilla chips and some cheese makes a great meal. The cornbread would be nice here as well. Tomorrow use some of the chili added to a jar of pasta sauce to make a meaty pasta sauce. Mix into cooked ziti or rotelle pasta add some of the left over cheese and bake until ewy gooey good. On the third day, the chili should be just about gone now, make Sloppy Joes. Just buy a can, mix in the rest of your chili and top hamburger rolls.
