6. People may get diaeases , such as cholera and malaria , because of the contamination of fresh water

7. The damage to homes and factories causes great economic loss.

Constructive effects of flooding

1. Form an extensive floodplain of alluvium . Alluvium is composed of silt and mud, it is very fertile with abundant irrigation water nearby.Floodplains are China's most important farming areas.

2.The flood water can dissolve the salt on the surface of farmlands and carry them downwards.
