聽日考chem了...想問一下production of alkanoic acid from alkanol係咪condensation reaction? 因為 "alkanol + 2[O] --> alkanoic acid + H2O" 有eliminate of small molecule...

No.Condensation = Addition + Elimination
Although H2O molecules are eliminated, the reaction is NOT condensation. This is because there is NO addition.
The reaction is classified as oxidation, but NOT condensation.
