Ok. I'm stuck.... Simplify the product using the distributive property.

(5h-5) (5h-6)

The answer: 25h^2 - 55h + 30
(I'm not sure how to do the 2 on top of the 25h thing..)

Now how did I get that answer?

FOIL = First, Outside, Inside, Last

Multiply the First term of each polynomial:
5h∙5h = 25h²

Multiply the Outer terms:
5h∙(-6) = -30h

Multiply the Inner terms:
(-5)(5h) = -25h

Multiply the Last term of each polynomial:
(-5)(-6) = 30

Add the products together:
25h² -30h -25h +30 = 25h² -55h +30

you'd used the foil method. (5h-5)(5h-6)=multiply the first 5h to to 2nd 5h then same om 5h to -6.then multiply -5 to 2nd 5h and the same -5 to -6.u need to have an equation editor to put the exponent or fraction .if u have microsoft word, thenopen word, click insert, object, create new tab.in object type, scroll down to find microsoft equation3.0.(if not avail.,u have to download it).need more help?(microsoft office online:help and how to:insert an equation).print it and juct follw the direction.

i think you got it.

You have to multiply everything in the first parenthasis by everything in the second parenthasis.
5h*5h= 25h^2
5h*-6= -30h
-5*5h= -25h
-5*-6= 30

25h^2-30h-25h+30
combined like terms (-30h & -25h)

25h^2-55h+30 ta-da

When you use the distributive property, you multiply each term in the parenthesis by the terms in the other parenthesis. First, multiply 5h by 5h. You will get 5h^2. Multiply 5h by -6. You will get -30h. Multiply -5 by 5h. You will get -25h. Finally, multiply -5 by -6. You will get 30. Right now you should have 25h^2-30h-25h+30. You can combine -30h and -25h to simplify. Your finished result will be 25h^2-55h+30. I hope this helps! :)

Multiplly every thing in the 2nd bracket by every thing in the 1st bracket:

(5h - 5)(5h - 6)

= 5h(5h - 6) - 5(5h - 6)

= 25h^2 - 30h - 25h + 30

= 25h^2 - 55h + 30.

(5h-5) (5h-6)
you do
5h*5h+5h*-6-5*5h+5*6
25h^2 - 30h -25h+ 30
25h^2 - 55h + 30

Hello,

First you multiply first time by first term
First term by second term
Second term by first term
Second term by second term
Then you combine like terms.

Bye.

(5h - 5)(5h - 6)
= 5h*5h - 5*5h - 6*5h + 6*5
= 25h^2 - 25h - 30h + 30
= 25h^2 - 55h + 30

Well you have to use the FOIL process:
What that means is First, Outside, Inside, and Last and you just multiply them together

1. (5h - 5)(5h - 6) first of each function
5h*5h = 25h^2
2. (5h - 5)(5h - 6) outside of each function
5h*(-6) = -30h
3. (5h - 5)(5h - 6) inside of each function
(-5)(5h) = -25h
4. (5h - 5)(5h - 6) last of each function
-5*-6= 30

now put them all together
25h^2 - 55h +30
:)
