Cash cheque is a cheque without crossing, you can draw cash directly from the bank.
Crossed cheque is crossed by the payer, that means this cheque must be paid in bank account to clear. There are two types of crossed cheques, for bearer cheque, can be paid in anyone's bank account, for 'account payee only' cheque can only paid in the account under payee's name only.

Cash cheque is the cheque you can get cash from the counter of the cheque issuer's bank.
Crossed cheque is the cheque with 2 lines put on the left top hand corner on the cheque. There are two types of crossings general crossing and special crossing with the wordings 'account payee only'. You cannot get cash over the counter for a crossed cheque. The cheque has to undergo the bank clearing system and you can get the cash in the next day.
Cheques with general 2 lines crossing with and without a named person can be deposited to the bank account of any person as the cheque could be transferrable.
Cheques with 2 lines crossing and with the wordings 'account payee only' can ONLY be deposited to the named person as shown in the cheque.
