plz show me the steps`=)
1) A manufacturer produces concrete drainage pipes. The specifications are as follow:
Outer diameter: 300mm
Inner diameter: 220mm
Length : 2m
a) Find the volume of concrete needed for each pipe. (to 3 decimal places)
b) If the cost of concrete is $100 per m^3, find the cost of each pipe.
c) The manufacturer has an order of 4200 pipes.
:)What is the total volume of concrete needed?

I think the answe is like that :)

a) Outer diameter = 300mm = 0.3m
Inner diameter = 220mm = 0.22m
Length = 2m

Area of circle = radius^2 x 3.14

So outer circle = (0.3/2)^2 x 3.14 = 0.071m^2
Inner circle = (0.22/2)^2 x 3.14 = 0.038m^2
And then outer – inner = 0.033m^2

Volumn of circle = area x length
0.033 x 2 = 0.066m^3

b) 0.066 x $100 = $ 6.597

c):) 0.066 x 4200 = 277.089m^3
::) 277.089 x $100 = $27708.852
