No they don't ................do you wash your clothes in detergent and fabric softener all at once.....no.....you need to clean and condition separately. Very important you do this as anything left in your hair and scalp your are just wooshing it around not cleaning it thoroughly.Most hair stylists will tell you the same thing.

Although 2in1 is cheaper than buying the product seperately, it doesn't mean it works better...
You're supposed to leave in the conditioner in your hair for about 5~10 mins but with 2in1, you'll be leaving in the shampoo plus the conditioner. That means the conditioner will not be as effective as it should be...
2in1 may cause a lot of frizz as well, that's from my self-experience... :(

You do not get as much as hydration or conditon you need.
So you need shampoo AND conditioner TWO seperate bottles to get and equal amount which needed.
Also may cause frizz [who wants that?!!?!] lol

I don't know if scientifically and theoretically they work, however if they cost the same as a single shampoo and achieve the effect you're going for, then I'd say don't worry about it. Why get paranoid of a good thing? Hope this helped :D
