1.) x + 3 >= 4

2.) X + 1/2 > 3/10

3.) Solve the inequality below and write a description of the graph. Can you please show all the work, I get it better if I see the steps.

1. Subtract 3 from both sides.
x + 3 - 3 >= 4 - 3
x >= 1

2. Subtract 1/2 from both sides
x + 1/2 - 1/2 > 3/10 - 1/2
x > 3/10 - 5/10
x > -2/10
x > -1/5

3. First, solve, right?
So, distribute.
-3x - 3 >= -4x + 10
Add 4x to both sides.
-3x - 3 + 4x >= -4x + 10 + 4x
x-3 >= 10
Add 3 to both sides.
x - 3 + 3 >= 10 + 3
x >= 13

So we know that anything on the line or to the right of the line x=13 on the graph will be shaded.

1)
x + 3 ≧ 4
x ≧ 4 - 3
x ≧ 1

2)
x + 1/2 > 3/10
x > 3/10 - 1/2
x > 3/10 - 5/10
x > -2/10
x > -1/5

3)
-3(x + 1) ≧ -2(2x - 5)
-3*x - 3*1 ≧ -2*2x + 2*5
-3x - 3 ≧ -4x + 10
-3x + 4x ≧ 3 + 10
x ≧ 13
