Two problems here:
1) Beethoven was not a child prodigy like Mozart. If we were to believe contemporary accounts, Beethoven spent long hours practicing in order to garner his techniques. 2) Even Mozart's genius is now under challenge. Solomon's biography puts Mozart back in the sphere of regular human being, though with exceptional talents [reference: Mozart, A Life, by Maynard Solomon].
