十五年前信用卡被盜用

十五年前曾申請過一張信用卡,後離開香港長期駐中國工作.最近回香港工作,收到銀行信先知道銀行曾批出信用卡,有人冒名簽收,銀行發出密碼.盜卡者用密碼透支了一部份錢,奇怪的是後來用支票找了一期數(雖被彈票).銀行理由:1.如果是賊會透支所有的錢.2.賊不會找數.3.可能是自己友.但要求銀行出事當時的信用卡簽收回條,銀行稱時間久遠已不見.請給予專業意見,如何是好?多謝!!!

As this is 15 years ago's issue, this has to be statue barred. It is very hard to proceed further as bank also could not produce the acknowledgment receipt for your confirmation. If the card had been wrongly received by someone and be used without your knowledge and, you were acting in good faith, the bank should proceed for insurance claim instead.

You can ask the bank to give you the documents for verification or confirmation or their views on this issue in writing.
