I believe you want to increase your bargaining power, not debating. Because the first rule of a good bargainer is – never debate with the counterpart, that is, the one in your opposite side.
To increase your bargaining power, you should first do your best to make sure you understand all the good and bad of your products. This is very important because while you have to sell the good part of the product, you also have to give satisfactory explanation / or good arguments to persuade the customers that the good parts are more than the bad parts in your products. In addition, you have to prepare to answer any questions that the customers will ask you about the product or the product line. This will give you more confidence and increasing your power in bargaining.
Moreover, you should try to increase your vocabulary for introducing your products. There are many books of such kind in the market. Find one which is not so difficult to start. You may be needed to use those words, but having those words in your mind is better than nothing. Again this is also to improve your confidence.
You should also use more gesture when you are trying to sell. That is, make use of your hands when talking. Some people says that the Latin people cannot speak without hands. This is also true for all people. If you use your hands to explain the products such as pointing here and there, people will pay more attention to what you are saying.
Finally of course is sincerity. Whenever a customer comes into your shop, please treat him your only customer. Do not try to think whether he will buy or not, just do the selling and that’s enough. If the customer wants to walk by himself to choose, give him some freedom while at the same time pay attention to see if he is interested in anything.
