Trainee Train Captain (ref: M08063)

Trainee Train Captain - East Rail

Responsibilities

In charge of a train to provide safe and efficient train service to passengers;

Act as a Pilot Driver on through trains for Intercity Passenger Services;

Monitor train performance and take appropriate and prompt actions to rectify irregularities and minimize interruption of train service.

Trainee Train Captain - Light Rail

Responsibilities

Operate Light Rail vehicles to provide safe and efficient public transportation service to passengers in accordance with rules and procedures and the Road Traffic Ordinance;

Handle incidents and irregularities so as to minimize service interruption and ensure safety of passengers.

Requirements

HKCEE 5 passes including Chinese and English languages

2 years’ working experience

Applicants for Train Captain – Light Rail should also possess valid driving licence class 1

Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English, preferably with ability to communicate in Putonghua or other languages

Effective communication skills and be customer–oriented

Willing to perform shift duties at irregular hours

Appointment to the above positions will be made on 18-month contract terms.
