Two CE Maths questions

1. Solve the equation 2sin^2@ + 7sin@ + 3 = 0, where 0 =/< @ =/< 360.

2. Let f(x)=x^3+kx^2-kx+4, where k is a constant. If f(x) is divisible by x-2, find the remainder when f(x) is divided by x-4.


I suspect that the answers provided are wrong, so I'm posting the questions here. Thanks!!! :)

1) 2 sin2 @ + 7 sin @ + 3 = 0
( 2 sin @ + 1 )( sin @ + 3 ) = 0
sin @ = - 1 / 2 or sin @ = -3 ( rejected )
@ = 210* or 330*
2) Given that f ( 2 ) = 0,
23 + k ( 2 )2 - k ( 2 ) + 4 = 0
2k = -12
k = -6
f ( x ) = x3 - 2x2 + 2x + 4
f ( 4 ) = 43 - 6 ( 4 )2 + 6 ( 4 ) + 4 = -4
