my computer will not download anything. i dont know why, i was hoping someone could help me.
i was trying to download yahoo, msn messengers and it will not let me. i have plenty of space on my computer. i just got it a few months ago. so there should not be anything wrong with it.
Can someone help me with my computer?

I assume that you can still get on the Internet on your computer, and I also assume that you are using Windows XP with SP2.Most of the downloads make use of the pop-up windows to alert the user and ask for the saving location. With Internet Explorer in Windows XP SP2, if a site attempts to download a program to your computer without your authorization, it uses the Information Bar to let you know. The Information Bar shows up to notify you, and then it disappears when you move on to another Web page. Some others browsers or toolbars also have this security features too.
To download, simply click the Information Bar to bring up a context-sensitive menu and select Download files.
