在上個暑假, 我曾經在將軍澳的一間連鎖百貨公司裡做過一名兼職售貨員. 有一天, 一名客人黎買了一個電子體重磅, 當時是我去接待他的. 他說想要一個新的電子體重磅, 之後我便去貨倉拿個新的給他. 他是一名很謹慎的客人, 他不斷測試個磅的準確度和能否開關. 試了一段時間後, 他覺得無問題便買下了個磅. 過了5天後, 他攜同那個磅來到說要再換一個新的, 因為他說個磅不準確. 但我們通常都是以公司利益為大前題, 所以在換個新的貨品給客戶之前都會測試一下該貨物是否真是壞了. 但當我測試個磅的時候, 該名客戶便說: 為什麼你還要測試? 你是否以為我講大話? 如果貨品有問題, 我有權在7日之內攜同該貨品回來換一個新的. 當我聽完依段說話後, 我真的很想罵他, 但是我是一名售貨員, 我有責任去使每一個客戶得到一個好的顧客服務, 因此我只好忍耐. 之後我發覺原來是該客戶自己沒有把磅的準確度調校好, 因此導致磅的準確度有偏差.

Last summer, I worked as a part time salesman for a chain department store in Junk Bay. One day, a customer bought a digital weight and I was the one who served him. Afterwards, he asked for a brand new one so I went to the warehouse and took a new one for him. He was quite a careful customers and therefore he tried many times on the accuracy and the switch. After a period of tryinging, he felt the weight had no problem and bought it. 5 days later, he brought back the weight and asked for an exchange of a new one, because the weight was not accurate. Since as a principle we always have to protect our company's benefit, so before we change a new one to the customer we usually test whether the goods for return is really defective. While I was testing the weight, that customer said :"Why do you need to test ? Do you think I am telling lies ? If the goods has any problem, I have the right to exchange the defective one for a new one !" After I heard what he said, I was close to scream at him. However I am a salesman and I have to make sure that every customer receives good service, I just tolerated and exchanged the weight for him. Afterwards I found that actually that customer did not adjust the accuracy of the weight, which led to the discrepancy on the accuracy of the weight !
