I want to some about Ratio.
If the scale of a map is 1 : 400
Does it means 1m² : 200m²?
如果個地圖比例係 1 : 400
咁係唔係可以 1m² : 400m² ??
定係 1m : 400m ??
如果唔可以 1m² : 400m² ,
咁想話 1m² : 400m² , 點寫?

1:400 is the ratio in lengthif you measure that a area(in you ruler)
=1cm*1cm
=1cm²
then actual area
=400cm*400cm
=160000cm²
ok??
never be 1m² : 400m²
the correct one should be 1m² : 160000m²

the scale of a map is usually counted for length ratio.
so 1:400 means 1cm to 400cm .
the area ratio will be 1:160000.
you may say the area ratio is 1:400
or the scale of a map is 1:20
so 1:400 means 1cm to 400cm .
