Why increase the spacing between the dipper can increase the number of the nodal line?

And why decrease the distance between two source can increase the spacing between the interference fringes?

THANKS!

For a given wavelength, the separation between nodal line is inversely proportional to the distance between the two wave sources. Hence, an increase of spacing between the dippers would decrease the separation between nodal line, i.e. the number of nodal lines increases.

The reason is the the longer distance between wave sources could accomodate more wavelengths to be present.
