點解d compound有時係oxide,有時係dioxide?

Because whenO is place in the end of the compound it will change its name to Oxide. But when O is forming conalent compound(compound that only form between non-metal and non-metal) with other element and it has two O than it changes its name to dioxide. When there are three O then it changes its name to trioxide. 4 is tetraOxide. 5 is pentoxide. 6 is hex oxide. 7 is heptoxide. 8 is octoxide. 9 is nonoxide. And 10 is decoxide.

係唔係metal +oxygen就=metal oxide
而non-metal+oxygen就=non-metal dioxide?

但係non-metal+oxygen就唔係non-metal dioxide
dioxide 只係指個compound 有2 個 oxygen
都有monoxide 就係指入面有1個 oxygen
