在香港跟美國公民結婚後，如何申請美國移民簽證？需時多久？

Can someone double verify and tell us whether 6 months is really how long it takes to apply i-130 in (HK) US Consulate?

after you two had register the marriage. you can file the application i-130, because your BF is US citizen, that is no waitting period but it do has invesgation time for back ground check and paper work proccessing ( which takes up to 6 months to a year ). this is normal time for most people.
the good news is you only need to live in US for 3 years instead 5 years then you can apply to be US citizen.

未婚夫/妻係美國公民.(即係揸Passport,唔係綠咭,)而本人身在HK.可以用兩種辨法:
K1簽證:對方係US申請.大約4-6個月.領事館會發你一個簽證.你必須係到達US 90日內註冊結婚.婚後入紙I-130.入紙可以同時申請工作許可及回美證就可以工作及出入美國.再等1-2年攞到綠咭.
好處係好快可走,同埋對方唔使到HK.
K3 Visa: 係HK結婚後,入紙I-130同時再申請K-3.大約12-18個月見領事.到US報到後馬上有綠咭.
好處係一次搞掂D手續.適合双方都人在HK及唔想甘急過去嘅人.
PS:婚後唔夠兩年,攞到係臨時綠咭.到兩年後再要申請永久綠咭.
