Can ever be used with present tense?
It is because a sentence in my exam uses the ever with present tense.
The sentence:Do you ever have nightmares?
But ever is used with present perfect tense only,isn't it?
Tell me fastly!!!

其實ever未必一定要用在perfect tense，ever其中一個意思（主要用在疑問句），是表示任何時候，這時就可以用simple present tense，如：Do you ever go to Ireland on holiday?（你什甚時候去愛爾蘭度假）
Do you ever go to pop concerts？（你什麼時候去聽流行歌曲音樂會嗎？）
但你的句子確是有點古怪，因為have nightmares，是不可以控制的事情。
