Situation : The switch S and the fuse of an iron are incorrectly fitted in the neytral wire.

點解呢個statement係岩?

The iron will still operate, but the heating element will remain at a high potential even when S is off.

我係唔明後面個段

First , when the iron is switched off , the iron would not operate .
However , the live wire is still connected to the heating element.
That means the heating element is connected to the main supply (high potential) . when you touch the heating element by mistake , as your body is touch the ground , there will be a potential difference , so a larger current will pass thoungh your body .

做個比喻 heating element connect live wire 就好似儲滿一大缸水
當有人接觸佢 . 就好似開條喉比缸水咁, D水就會流出黎
