urban sprawl and urban development有咩分別??

Urban sprawl :
1. Most cities nowadays are spreading outwards in an unplanned and uncontrolled way.
2. People and economic activities expand into the rural areas.
3. This poses a threat to the surrounding environment.
Urban encroachment :
1. The population and economic activities expand towards rural areas.
2. The original rural land uses are converted into urban land uses.


Commons:
1. 兩者都有講明 human & economic activities擴展至rural areas。2. Rural areas亦因此有所改變。


Differents:
1. Urban sprawl同Urban encroachment最大分別係前者講明左係unplanned,但後者係冇講明係唔係planned(可以係planned / unplanned)。
2. Urban encroachment係每一個城市必然既發展, 好似香港唔夠地就要將urban development expand to rural areas (eg. new towns)；
而Urban sprawl係Urban encroachment既結果, 會造成左不同既threats to the surrounding environment。
3. 兩者有因果關係。請見上點。
