1) Determine whether the graph the polynomial f(x)=3^3 -2x has y-axis symmetry, origin symmetry, or neither.
And plz explain how can I tell if the polynomial is of which type (among those I mentioned above)?

2) f(x)=x^3 (x^3 +4)(7x+2)
Determine the maximum possible number of turning points for the graph of the function.

thx!

Thx Karin&Victor for the answer to #1. Anyone knows how to solve #2?

✔ 最佳答案
1)
f(x) = 3^3 - 2x
f(-x) = 3^3 + 2x
Since f(x) not equal to f(-x), it is not y-axis symmetry
Since f(x) not equal to -f(-x), it is not origin symmetry
