Solve it like a regular equation, except whenever you multiply or divide by a negative number you must flip the inequality (greater than turns to less than).

-6*x > 1/13
(divide both sides by -6 and flip the inequality)
x < -1/(13 * 6 )
x < -1/78

-6x > 1/13
-6x / -6 > 1/13 / -6
x < -6 / 13

divide the two factors by utilising -6 yet remember, in case you do divide the two factors by utilising a unfavorable variety, you have have been given to alter the "signs and indications" a larger than sign would be decrease than sign and vice versa once you divide the two factors by utilising a unfavorable... now you have x < -one million/seventy 8

The key point here is that when solving equalities if you multiply or divide both sides by a negative number you must change the > to < or change < to >. So:

-6x > 1/13

Divide both sides by -6 and remember to change > to <:

x < (1/13)/ -6

It easy to go wrong at the next stage as well. Remember when dividing a fraction by a number turn the divisor upside down and multiply:

x < (1/3) * 1/-6

x < - 1/78

1/13 = 0.076923076

Divide both sides with -6, but remember then your sign will change, so > will become < With inegualities, when you divide with a negative number, your sign changes

x < - 0.012820512
x < - 0.0129 (3 significant figures)

-6x > 1/13
-78x > 1
x < 1/-78

- 6x > 1/13 divide both sides by 6
- x > 1/(13)(6) = 1/78 multiply by -1 which changes the direction of the inequality

x< - 1/78
