我想到美國生BB

my question first, are you and your husband USA citizen?

if YES, then everything is easy. because you are US citizen, even the new baby born in HK, the baby also will become USA citizen, plus he / she also can has HK resident statue because the baby is born in HK.

baby born in USA, you will have better medical treatment in hospital, better health care for the new born baby. of course you must have some form of health insurance. without insurance the cost will go up to $ 6000 for normal birth.

if you are NOT US citizen, then you should come to US earlier to get birth and buy the medical insurance ASAP. the baby then can be citizen without all the paper works for immigrantion.

no matter where the baby born, as long you two are holding the green card or citizenship. the kid can come to USA for college. the tution is base on which college he/she apply and which state he resided.
for public school ( kiddegraden to grade 12th ) it is free. but i suggest the baby should go to US school no later than 7th grade, otherwise he/she may face some language problem in the future.

如果父母係HK居民,小朋友是否HK出世冇乜分別.

BB係美國出世,大學時就會比外國學生便宜三份二.中小學本來就免費.
