will and be going to

其實我都在yahoo答過好幾次，be going to是在早有安排下去做，但will可指臨時決定
現引用【征服英語】一篇，以作參考
will be visiting London 、 I am visiting London 、 I am to visit London 、 I am going to be visiting London 四 個 句 式 ， 是 怎 樣 用 的 ？ 最 後 一 個 句 式 尤 其 難 掌 握 。
這 四 句 都 是 說 「 我 將 會 去 倫 敦 」 ， 只 是 含 義 稍 有 不 同 。 末 句 文 法 沒 有 錯 ， 但 連 用 兩 個 進 行 式 動 詞 ， 說 起 來 頗 覺 累 贅 ， 不 宜 仿 效 ， 改 為 I am going to visit London 會 好 得 多 。





論 意 思 ， 這 些 句 式 都 是 說 未 來 的 事 ， 分 別 只 在 於 語 氣 。 以 下 五 句 ， 第 一 句 表 示 「 早 已 安 排 好 」 ， 末 句 表 示 「 現 在 才 下 決 定 」 ， 中 間 三 句 ， 「 早 已 安 排 好 」 的 意 思 依 次 減 弱 ： （ 1 ） I am to visit London 。 （ 2 ） I am visiting London 。 （ 3 ） I will be visiting London 。 （ 4 ） I am going to visit London 。 （ 5 ） I will visit London 。 此 外 ， 你 還 可 以 說 I visit London next week （ 我 下 星 期 會 去 倫 敦 ） 之 類 ， 其 「 早 已 安 排 好 」 含 義 比 I am to visit London next week 更 強 ， 但 必 須 說 明 事 情 將 發 生 的 時 間 。
留 意 「 will / shall + 原 形 動 詞 （ infinitive ） 」 表 示 臨 時 下 的 決 定 ， 其 餘 各 句 式 則 都 是 說 已 定 的 計 劃 。

Simple Future has two different forms in English: will and be going to, they often express two very different meanings.

USE 1 Will to Express a Voluntary Action表達某人自願的去做一件事

Will often suggests that a speaker will do something voluntarily. A voluntary
action is one the speaker offers to do for someone else. Often, we use will to
respond to someone elses complaint or request for help. We also use will;
when we request that someone help us or volunteer to do something for
us. Similarly, we use will not o r won t ; when we refuse to voluntarily do
something.

USE 2 Will to Express a Promise 表達某人會承諾一件事, 通常會用WILL
Will is usually used in promises.

USE 3 Be going to to Express a Plan表達某人會計劃去做一件事,即使件事完成與否
Be going to expresses that something is a plan. It expresses the idea that a
person intends to do something in the future. It does not matter whether the
plan is realistic or not.


USE 4Will ; or Be Going to to Express a Prediction表達預知將來發生的事, 而該件事會對將來有所操控 ( 而USE 1-3 都不適用) 以下一些例子, 意思全部一樣　
Both will and be going to can express the idea of a general prediction about the future. Predictions are guesses about what might happen in the future. In
prediction sentences, the subject usually has little control over the future and
therefore USES 1-3 do not apply. In the following examples, there is no
difference in meaning.

Examples:

The year 2222 will be a very interesting year.
The year 2222 is going to be a very interesting year.
John Smith will be the next President.
John Smith is going to be the next President.
The movie "Zenith" will win several Academy Awards.
The movie "Zenith" is going to win several Academy Awards

The examples below show the placement for grammar adverbs such as: always, only, never, ever, still, just, etc.

Examples:

You will never help him.
Will you ever help him?
You are never going to meet Jane.
Are you ever going to meet Jane?
