Is the ink of blue ball pen really purely blue in colour?

no it is not purely blue
you can try experiment of chromatography(put a paper that have a dot of ink vertically in water but the ink should no be immerse in water ,wait for an hour, you will find that the ink is mix with many different colour)
It can seperate the mixture of pigment in ink
