you can keep it and/ or sell it. that is your property you can do anything you want.

if you come to USA and then sell your HK property later. it is no problem and no sales tax to pay. because you brough the property before you migrae to US. that is not USA grovernment business. and you have no problem to mail or bring back the money to USA. just bring all the sales documents with you and keep it safe.

dont worry, the USA grovenment is not money monster, they are very reasonable.
