Notebook lock-in forget password

You need to make a CD, namely Hiren's Boot CD, and use the built-in password recovery tools. It helps you to reset thepassword of any desired user account.

Download the Hiren's Boot CD ISO. Burn it using CD burner and burning software. This is done in another computer, of course.

Set the boot sequence of the notebook to boot from the CD-ROM drive first. Restart your computer after configuration.

Next, you need to boot from the Hiren's Boot CD. Choose option 2.

Use the cursor key on your keyboard to highlight and use the ENTER key to press NEXT to make password recovery tool listed on the screen.

Choose password and registry tools by press 4 and ENTER. Use the first tool called Active password changer to change the password of your notebook.

After this tool has been loaded, it shows you three options. Choose 2 to search all exist SAM ( Secure Account Manager ) on the system.

Choose the database that contains the lost user password by examine the disk label, other information. Press the corresponding number and press ENTER to continue. Press ENTER if only one Windows is installed.

The password recovery tool will show you the user in the database you chose before. Press Esc key if you need to go back to the previous screen. Choose the user that you want to reset the password by enter the corresponding number and press ENTER.

By default, it will clear the password of the user you chose before to become blank. Press Y is ok.

Press Y to confirm the changes. When it shows "User's attributes has been succesfully (successfully) changed " , as the figure above, then restart the computer by press CTRL+ALT+DEL and log in the user that you chose to reset the password just before with blank password.
You can now log in to the computer. You may change the password by using the control panel.

Because of the word limitation, I add some notes here...

If your purpose of asking this question is to hack and control others' computer, I recommended you not to do it.

The method mentioned is applicable on Windows Vista and XP.
