試卷一 閱讀能力
佔公開考試成績百分之二十五，考試時間為一小時十五
分鐘。
本 卷主要 考核 考生運 用不 同策略 的閱 讀能力 ，包 括理
解、分析、感受、鑑賞等能力。
試卷擷取若干篇章，附以問題，全部試題均須作答。
試題以問答題為主，輔以選擇、填表、填充、短答題等。

試卷二 寫作能力
佔公開考試成績百分之二十五，考試時間為一小時三十
分鐘。
本卷主要考核考生構思、表達、創作等能力。
設題方式或命題，或指定情境，並提供選擇。試卷要求
考生寫作長文一篇，或短文二至三篇，字數視題目要求
而定。

試卷三 聆聽能力
佔公開考試成績百分之十二，考試時間約四十五分鐘。
本卷主要考核考生辨明說話者立場、觀點、說話技巧、
語氣等聆聽能力。
試卷設若干段演說、對話、辯論、會議過程或事件描述
的錄音，供考生聆聽後回答問題，全部試題均須作答。
試題形式包括選擇、填表、填充、短答等。

試卷四 說話能力
佔公開考試成績百分之十八，考試時間約四十分鐘。
本卷主要考核考生的口語表達、溝通與應對能力。

甲部 朗讀
佔公開考試成績百分之三。
本部分主要考核考生朗讀語體文的能力，考核重點包括讀
音、語氣、節奏等。
每位考生有準備時間 3 分鐘，朗讀時間約為 1 分鐘。

乙部 口語溝通
佔公開考試成績百分之十五。
本部分主要考核考生在討論中的表達、應對、溝通等能力。
考生以 6 人為一組，有準備時間 10 分鐘，以理解所提供
不同形式的討論材料。
全組的討論時間為 25 分鐘。

試卷五 綜合能力考核
佔公開試成績百分之二十，考試時間為一小時十五分鐘。
本卷主要考核考生理解、思考、組織、文字表達等能力。
試卷要求考生在聆聽一段錄音與閱讀文字、圖表的材料
後，以寫作方式完成試題所指定的任務，全部試題均須作
答。
試題與生活事務有關，篇數與字數俱視題目的要求而定。

Paper 1

This paper will be divided into two parts, Part A Reading and Part B Writing, with equal weighting. The two parts will be thematically related.

Paper 1A Reading (1 hour) (20%)

Candidates will be required to respond to a variety of written texts of different lengths and levels of difficulty. A range of question types will be used, including multiple-choice items, short responses and more extended open- ended responses.

Paper 1B Writing (1hour 30 minutes) (20%)
There will be two writing tasks. The first task will be a short, guided one (100 – 150 words). Candidates will be provided with the situation and the purpose for writing, as well as some relevant information. The second task will be longer and more open-ended (200 – 250 words). Pictures and other forms of graphic representation may be used in setting tasks.

Paper 2 Listening and Integrated Skills (2 hours) (30%)

There will be a variety of listening, reading and writing tasks based on the same theme. At least one of the writing tasks will require candidates to produce an extended piece of writing (100 – 200 words).

Part A Group discussion (preparation: 5 minutes; discussion: 6 minutes per group)

Four candidates will be grouped together and will take part in a group discussion based on given prompts.

SCHOOL-BASED ASSESSMENT(SBA)(15%)

This component will consist of a reading program where students will need to read three texts over two years , write up some comments and personal reflections, and then take part in a discussion with classmates on what they have read/viewed.
