里面的fish 為什么不用加es

其實在kind of, kinds of, sort of , sorts of, type of, types of之後正式都應用單數形名詞，或不可數名詞；但較隨便的英文，也會在kind of, sort of, type of後用複數形。

多 種 動 物 、 參 加 者 的 名 字


There are many kinds of animals / many kinds of animal that live in Australia 這 兩 個 說 法 ， 文 法 都 正 確 嗎 ？ 假 如 都 正 確 ， 意 思 有 沒 有 分 別 ？
這 兩 個 說 法 ， 意 思 都 是 「 澳 洲 有 很 多 種 動 物 」 ， 不 必 強 行 分 辨 。





至 於 文 法 ， kind of 、 sort of 、 type of 這 些 說 「 一 種 … … 」 的 詞 語 ， 以 及 指 某 種 式 樣 或 型 號 的 make of ， 其 後 習 慣 用 單 數 形 式 名 詞 或 不 可 數 名 詞 （ uncountable noun ） ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） What kind of （ an ） animal is that? （ 那 是 什 麼 一 種 動 物 ？ ） （ 2 ） This make of （ a ） sports car is very powerful （ 這 型 號 的 跑 車 很 強 勁 ） 。 留 意 這 兩 句 括 弧

的 冠 詞 （ article ） an 、 a 一 般 不 用 ， 但 用 也 可 以 。
Kind of 、 sort of 、 type of 、 make of 等 之 後 ， 用 複 數 形 式 名 詞 ， 是 較 隨 便 的 說 法 ， 例 如 ： This kind of animals is regarded as endangered （ 這 種 動 物 被 視 為 有 絕 滅 之 虞 ） 。
複 數 形 式 的 kinds of 、 sorts of 等 ， 其 後 同 樣 是 用 單 數 形 式 名 詞 ， 用 複 數 形 式 較 為 少 見 ， 例 如 ： Several new types / makes of sports car （ 或 sports cars ） have come on the market （ 最 近 市 場 上 有 幾 種 新 款 跑 車 出 售 ） 。
「 那 些 參 加 者 的 名 字 」 是 names of the participants 、 name of the participants 還 是 names of the participant ？
眾 人 各 有 一 個 的 東 西 ， 一 般 用 複 數 形 式 來 說 ， 例 如 the names of the participants 、 the students' addresses （ 學 生 的 住 址 ） 等 。 留 意 成 語 by name （ 以 姓 名 ） 沒 有 複 數 形 式 ， 例 如 ： I know all the participants by name （ 各 參 加 者 叫 什 麼 名 字 ， 我 都 知 道 ） 。

It is because the word fish refers to a special group of marine animals. However, the word fishes is used when you want to mention different kinds like the following:

I enjoy eating seafood such as fish and shrimps.
I like to eat some local fishes like the carp, eel and fresh water grouper.

因為 fish 在這裡屬不可數名詞,所以,不需加 S.

如果在一個名詞裏只有一,那fish便不用加es。
如果名詞裏超過一,fish便要加es。
