How did WWII start??

World War II was a global military conflict, the joining of what had initially been two separate conflicts. The first began in Asia in 1937 as the Second Sino-Japanese War; the other began in Europe in 1939 with the German invasion of Poland.

This global conflict split the majority of the world's nations into two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis powers. It involved the mobilization of over 100 million military personnel, making it the most widespread war in history, and placed the participants in a state of "total war", erasing the distinction between civil and military resources.

The Allies were victorious, and, as a result, the United States and Soviet Union emerged as the world's two leading superpowers. This set the stage for the Cold War, which lasted for the next 45 years. The United Nations was formed in hopes of preventing another such conflict. The self determination spawned by the war accelerated decolonization movements in Asia and Africa, while Europe itself began moving toward integration.

　　經濟大衰退是於１９２９年的美國發生的。當時，美國大部份的股票價格暴跌，股票市場崩潰，很多人在一夜間喪失全部資產，引起了全國的經濟大恐慌。大量工廠、銀行因此倒閉，全國陷入經濟困境。經濟大衰退導致極權主義在德國日本興起，而且帶給美、英、法等西方國家嚴重的失業及社會不隱定等問題，致使它們沒有能力聯合起來阻止極權國家的侵略行動。

　　極權主義統治主要是經濟大衰退而引起的。極權主義統治下有三個特點，包括在國家內實行獨裁統治，宣揚和崇拜統治者或政黨及對外採納擴張政策。意大利有由墨索里尼所推行的法西斯主義，德國有由希特拉所推行的納粹主義，日本也有由海、陸軍將領所推行的軍國主義。他們都是鼓吹對外擴張的，因而對世界和平構成嚴重的威脅。

　　極權國家的侵略包括日、意、德三國極權國家，它們皆奉行擴張政策。它們於１９３０年代的侵略行動，導致了第二次世界大戰的爆發。在１９３１－３８年間，日本侵略中國東三省，而列強則只譴責它；意大利侵略阿比西尼區，而列強只經濟制裁它。而德國也侵略捷克、奧地利和萊茵河區，列強對它都是使用綏靖政策。希特拉更於１９４０年與意大利和日本組成「柏林－羅馬－東京軸心同盟」

　　列強對擴張都實行綏靖政策，而美國則採取孤立政策，都間接鼓勵希特拉的擴張，並壯大了他的侵略野心。

　　而最終引致第二次世界大戰爆發的導火線是希特拉入侵波蘭。德國在１９１９年曾割讓部份土地給波蘭，而希特拉想要取回該地，但又怕入侵波蘭，史太林會攻打德國，所以他於１９３９年８月下甸與蘇聯簽署互不侵犯協定。繼而在９月１日揮軍入侵波蘭，兩日後，英、法兩國向德國宣戰，二十世紀的第二次國際性衝突──第二次世界大戰最終爆發。

In March of 1936, Hitler remilitarized the Rhineland in direct violation of the Versailles and Locarno treaties, receiving little response from other European powers.When the Spanish Civil War broke out in July, Hitler and Mussolini supported fascist Generalísimo Francisco Franco in his civil war against the Soviet-supported Spanish Republic. Both sides used the conflict to test new weapons and methods of warfare.
With tensions mounting, efforts to strengthen or consolidate power were made. In October, Germany and Italy formed the Rome-Berlin Axis and a month later Germany and Japan, each believing communism–and the Soviet Union in particular–to be a threat, signed the Anti-Comintern Pact, which Italy would join in the following year.
