A: Since each methanoic acid dimer is associated by 2 hydrogen bonds , the bond enthalpy of the hydrogen in the dimer molecules 52.42 / 2 =+26.21kJmol^-1


我唔明點解dimer 有2個hydrogen bonds @@~

In pure methanoic acid, methanoic acid (HCOOH) exists as dimers. Each dimer are formed by joining two HCOOH molecules with two hydrogen bonds. The structure of a dimer (with dotted lines to represent the hydrogen bonds) is shown in the following diagram:
