Water flows through a pipe of internal radius 2 cm at a rate of 6cm/s. How long does it take for the water to fill a vessel in the shape of an inverted right circular cone of base radius 5cm and height 20cm ??

The flowing rate = 2^2*pi*6 = 24pi cm^3/sVol of cone = 1/3*5^2*pi*20 = 500pi/3 cm^3
Time required to fill the cone = (500pi/3)/ (24pi) = 125/12 s
