I actually was in France last year from end April to mid May. This is the beginning of their Spring so weather should be nice. Last year we were sweater or jacket in the morning and at night, while in the day time we just wear shorts and T shirts.

For Bordeaux the Spring comes earlier so they are warmer than the upper north, however you still have to prepare some clothes for the morning and night, which can be as low as 7 to 10 degrees. In day time the weather can be around 20 degrees.

Since you are only going for 4 days, I would suggest that you look up their weather forecast 1 or 2 days before your departure. Nowadays weather forecast are very exact for 5 to 7 days' prediction.

Note : This year the weather is so abnormal, I really suggest you to look up at the weather forecast first. You can find it in the Geocities web site, or even the Hong Kong Observatory web site.
