In the 4 opinion, only butane is in gases state; water and propan-1-ol is in liquid
state; iodind is in solid state at room temperature and pressure.

Boiling point of butane : −0.5 °C
Boiling point of water : 100°C
Boiling point of propan-1-ol : 97.1 °C
Boiling point of iodine : 184.3 °C

When comparing solid, liquid and gas, the gas molecules can move furthest apart from each other.
So the answer is A

for D, iodine is in solid state, so the molecules should be the
least apart .
forB and C, hydrogen bonding is present. it will make the molecules
become closer.
for A, only weak Van deWaals force is present.
so the molecules are the farthest apart.
