請問遺失個人八達通,內有一百元左右,沒有自動增值功能的,報失要收五十元手續費,而且要在報失確認後六小時才生效,可能停咭後所餘金額已不多,報失會否得不償失呢?因為也有可能只是大意放了在別處,遲些會找回的.

The main issue whether you would like to have another auto value-added Octopus card. If yes, no way, you have to get it. The $50 charged maybe for Octopus to put a auto value-added chip in this card with your details. Personally speaking, I like this kind of card as this really save me time and embrassement when I get into the gate and suddently with no value and have to get out from the long queue.
Or, you can wait for a while, say a week's time, before you put this new order. However, if other got this card, it maybe used it fraudently and value maybe topped up from time to time.
