How do I make my face less oily?

cetaphil cleanser, it's nice, and mild, you won't break out. When your face is oily, use oil blotting sheets, sold in every drugstore, i use clean and clear. don't try to over dry your skin, it only makes it produce more oil, and then you have a whole new set of problems. use tepid, not hot, or cold water, and only wash face, in morning, and evening. Get an oil free pressed powder for touch ups, after using oil blotting sheets.

This may seem really obvious, but wash your face twice a day, and remember when you are buying facewash to look if it adds oil to your face (for people with really dry skin) or if it replenishes it and clears your pores.
So just try that.

use facial blotting tisses which absorbs excess oil and reduces shine. (try the body shop or Clean & Clear)

try Neutrogena's Deep Clean Cleanser/Mask.
you can use it as daily cleanser or a intensive mask. it really works for me!!!

There are products out there in Walmart for example that will reduce the oil. Just make sure you take a shower everday and wash your face both morning and night. But don't scrub it to death or dry it out. That can cause very itchy skin, redness, and acne. So please use caution.

Wash your face with a mild cleanser meant for oily skin. Try Neutrogena, Biore or Clinique. Then use an astringent like Sea Breeze Sensitive on a cotton ball to remove the excess skin oil. When you finish you can apply a small amount of face powder to your T-zone...the cheeks, nose and forehead in a neutral shade like Cornsilk powder...makes the shine go away!

wash your face every day and night with noxema. hopefully this will give you non- oily skin. or use olay stuff for your face.

I wish I knew that answer, but I know of great facial products that help me a lot!

I buy from the ethnic aisle at Wal-Mart. I haven't tried any of the hispanic stuff yet, but I do buy from the african american stuff. Works wonders for my skin!

I find that Clearasil and all those others work immediately, but don't last throughout the day.
