以下是關於奧運的資料...
American television network NBC secured broardcasting rights for the 2012 Games at a meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2003. IN 1995 they paid 3-point-5 billion dollars for the U.S. rights to Sydney, Athens and Beijing and the latest deal firmly establised NBC as America's home of Olympic television.

However the IOC's decision to stage 2008's swimming finals in the morning, rather than its traditional evening slot, caused uproar with some swimmers accusing officials of caving in to pressure from NBC and putting the needs of television before those of athletes.
Morning finals in Beijing mean prime-time audiences in the U.S. where swimmming is a big draw.

Swimming is part of the Olympic discipline of aquatics. All aquatic events will be held at the purpose-built National Aquatic Centre.
When completed, the building will look like a giant glass cube filled with water. Its steel frame is clad with pillows made out of a plastic called EFTE. The effect when illuminated at night is spectacular. Germany's Allianz Arena, home to football club Bayern Munich, uses the technique but the National Aquatic Centre will be the largest EFTE structure in the world.
