提升英文語文水平

You do not really have to talk with foreigner to improve your English. Talk to Chinese in English can also help, as long as their English is good. Moreover you can watch television programs. The more you watch, the more you learn. You do not need to watch some very difficult programs, just watch light programs such as music video, cartoons, drama, etc., and you do not need to understand everything they say. Just use an easy way of watching and do not think about how much you can understand or learn. Even if you have a lot of problems in understanding, you still absorb a little from the television. Another way is to watch the news in English because you will know more or less what they are talking about, so it is much easier for you to understand and catch the usage of words.

As for what are the most typical topics that foreigners will chat about, my answer is that foreigners are no different than Chinese or Indian. There are different kinds of situations and hence different kinds of topics will be discussed. In general, foreigners do not like to talk into deep details on other people's private matters, therefore most of the time they will just chat about something that will never be a sensitive subject to anyone.

學好英文最大忌-怕講錯, 怕"魚"

最緊要有heart, 夠信心, 夠主動.

千祈唔好怕講錯, 錯係正常, cuz Eng唔係我地既mother lang. 就算係外國人佢地既gramma都未必岩得晒ga. 好多人就係怕講錯字or gramma唔岩所以唔同foreigner傾計.唔好因為咁而浪費一個學習機會, 每樣野都係從錯誤學習.

如果遇到唔明對方講咩既時候可以叫佢地further explain 個樣係咩黎ga, 之後用本notebook drop down頭先既explaination, 得閒拎出黎溫故知新.

同埋, 我會覺得同真正既外國人傾會學得好過同amercian born or wherelse 既外國chinese chat...耐左你會發覺佢地大家之間寫既文章, 用字方面係會唔同.

聽多d英文歌可以學埋讀音同埋上網去外國chatroom可以學slang, 都有幫助ga.

I also agreed with the person who answered before me. I used to watch the chinese news first then switch to the english one, it can also help you to learn.

When you chatting with the forigners, the most important thing is be brave - ask if you don't understand. Don't be afraid if they didn't understand what you were saying, just try again. This way, you may learn more than you realised.
