Algebra question!!?

(x + 1)(x + 1) = 0
x = - 1 (twice)

Well, this is an equation of second grade which means it has two answers, and just by looking at it, I can tell one of the answers is X = -1 but... as I could not get the other answer I tried a little factorization method from what I got:

x^2+ 2x+ 1=0
(x+1)(x+1)=0

From what we can say that if the product of the (x+1) is 0 than each one of them might be 0

so if we get=

x+1=0
x=-1

In which case we Learn that the two answers are X = -1

So in this case, this second grade equation has only one answer... and this is it...

X = -1

x=-1

well first you factor it and it comes out to be (x+1)(x+1)=0, then from there you set each individual being multiplied equal to zero ( x+1=0 and x+1=0) in this case the answer for both is the same when you solve for "x" so the answer is simply "x=-1"

(X-1)^2=0
DOUBLE ZEROES X=1

x^2 + 2x + 1 = 0
(x + 1)(x + 1) = 0

x + 1 = 0
x = -1

∴ x = -1

x = -1
