linking verbs

Linking verbs這字已經表示是動詞(verb)，所以but, in spite of等都不是linking verb，而是連接詞。
linkng verb又叫copulas
究竟甚麼是linking verbs，就是在這些動詞之後，會帶主詞修飾語(Subject Complement)，最常見的linking verb就是be（或它的變體），如：
I am a boy(a boy就是主詞修飾語，因它是形容主詞）
而linking verb又可分為兩類，Current copulas, Resulting copulas：
Current copulas是指所帶出的主詞修飾語的角色是：主詞的屬性，如：
He seems happy.(happy是He的屬性）
而Resulting copulas是指所帶出來的主詞修飾語，是那動詞所帶出的結果。如：
He becomes happy（happy是become所帶出來的結果，即在動詞事件前，他本來並不happy，但經過become這動詞後，就變成happy)
Current copulas常有：appear, feel, look, remain, seem, smell, sound, taste
而Resulting copulas常有：become, get, go, grow, turn, make
