What kind of limitation will I encounter starting a family and serving as an officer in the Navy?

I do plan on joining the Navy next year when i graduate but i'm curious as to limitations with starting a family.
I'm a law student and hope to go in to the JAG service but what about having children and serving at the same time also I did notice the Navy's reg section on personal relationships and sexual conduct was like 50 pages long which tells me they have had many problems with this area.
Of course many of these regs may not be inforced i would still like to know from peoples personal experiance.

You get 6 weeks paid maternity leave and you don't have to pass your PRT for up to a year after you give birth. "Fraternization" infractions are enforced although to varying degrees depending on where you are and how serious the infraction was. Basically as long as you are dating Officers not Enlisted and single people not married you are fine.
Raising a military family can be a challenge, but it also offers your children unique options to live in different places and learn first hand different cultures and even countries and languages.

if you are Navy, maybe you dont have time to join YA and not many time to stay at home.

wow honey.. you have to set your goals one step at a time.. don't push your luck ahead of you.. if you plan to join the navy.. do so first cause you can't have both at the same time.. maybe when you get settled in and know the ins and outs of the navy then you can start having a family of your own.. besides i think your still young enough t enjoy your life first... cuz once you get married.. then you may have difficulty adjusting to a married life specially when you have kids...

Hiroko...I am not going to say much except these five words...."you cannot balance the two". You are either married to one or the other as a woman. Nuff said.

not really sure, but just allow me to kindly request that when/if you become an officer, that you treat the enlisted folks with respect---especially the e-1 through e-4 ...they take entirely too much **** from people infected with the ''God'' complex. Thanx!
