Okay, so you multiply 6 with x, and get 6x. Then you multiply 6 by -6 and get -36 and you add 6 to -36 and get 6x-30. subtract 30 from 6x and the first part of the equation will be 6x-30. you do the same thing you did except you will get 8x+10. then you subtract 6x from both sides and get -30=2x+10, then you subtract 10 from each side and get -40=2x x=-20

therefore, x=-20

the second one, the answer is x=17
