It depends on the usage of your laptop.
It is better for you to buy a macbook for graphic design and processing.
If you want to buy a laptop for general use, such as word processing, web surfing, playing online games and msn, I would suggest HP laptop rather than macbook.
Besides, I suggest you to buy Dell if you want to buy a desktop instead of laptop beacuse the design of desktop PCs and servers are the best among those vendors, but HP is good at laptop stuff.
