Golf v5 and gti

屬於第四代(MK4)嘅99年Golf V5有150匹, 而99年Golf GTI則只配115匹2000cc嘅引擎. 只講加速的話當然係V5快D.
但GTI比V5輕, 配sports避震, 操控上會比V5得心應手
而且當時VW嘅V5引擎係用VR6 engine開發 (即當時勁版GTI VR6副engine), 同直四嘅GTI都係每汽缸兩個cylinder. VR6尚算順暢, 但V5就好粗糙. 直四嗰副引擎亦較耐用.
兩部邊部好? 我話兩部都唔好. 真係要選擇我會選GTI, 只係因為我應為GTI引擎會較V5少病痛同易維修. 99年GTI 2000cc只係過渡性質. 如果可以買到2000年開始有, 配1800cc直四20V Turbo 150匹嗰部GTI就當然更好!

Volkswagen's VR5 is a 2.3 litre gasoline engine descending directly from the older VR6 from which VW removed a cylinder creating the first block to use five cylinders in a V design.

The first version, with 2.3 L capacity, had 10valves capable of 150 PS (148 hp/110 kW) and a maximum torque of 209 N·m (154 ft·lbf). It was introduced in the Golf in 1999. In 2000 the head was updated with twin cams, 20 valves raising power to 170bhp.
